Ancient grains and lab-grown meat. Let’s eat the future.

We have launched a pilot project “Warm Grain”

Imagine a series of street-feasts and communal meals, where people explore, plan, and eat their possible food futures.

We all felt the heat this summer. Every second, an acre of soil turns to desert. Greggs have pioneered the vegan sausage roll. There’s now a company that PRINTS meat. And this is just the start.

Our food systems will transform over the next few years. The most marginalised will feel the most negative effects of this, and feel them first. The change is coming, and all people regardless of their background deserve to have a say in what the change will be.

We want communities to shape their food futures. Through creative, democratic exploration of our food culture, systems, and new technologies, we can make that happen.

Festival of Thrift

We’re delighted to be collaborating with the Festival of Thrift to develop the Warm Grain project.

We are currently recruiting volunteer Hosts. We’ll support each host to deep-dive into some interesting food sustainability ideas, ranging from ancient grains to lab-grown-meat. The Hosts will then develop a menu inspired by the ideas they are most drawn to, welcoming friends and family into the exploration through eating. The Hosts will then help us to plan and run a future foods feast event at the festival this September.

Sound good to you? You can read more and sign up to be a Host here…
